Grant Cardone is an international sales expert, New York Times best-selling author, real estate investor, and a radio show host of The Cardone Zone. He has founded three companies: Cardone Enterprises, Cardone Real Estate Holdings, and the Cardone Group. He has shared his sales and business expertise as a motivational speaker and author of five books: Sell to Survive; The Closers Survival Guide; If You're Not First, You're Last; The 10X Rule; and Sell or Be Sold. Grant Cardone has developed multiple sales programs that have affected hundreds of thousands of sales people, thousands of sales organizations, and billions of dollars in retail sales. His developments in sales, sales management, selling systems, sales and business production, sales performance, sales books, and sales programs encompass the basics of selling. His basic tenet is that a company succeeds only through selling and he believes that even the family unit relies on selling to improve their station in life. As a real estate investor, Cardone relies heavily on multi-family apartment buildings to invest in.

Cardone was born in southern Louisiana in 1958, where he lived his hatred middle class lifestyle, struggling to get by with his 4 other siblings. This is what initially motivated Cardone to break free from the comfort of middle class and move forward upon the hierarchical class ladder, he remains climbing today. Cardone concentrated on his career for majority of his life which led to his late mature to his wife, actress Elena Lyons they now have 2 daughter and live in Miami, Florida. In his early life, Cardone was flustered like many of us are now in our 20’s confused about the future and careless as to what will come tomorrow. Until Cardone was about 25 years old he was addicted to cocaine and alcohol among other drugs. It was only a matter of time before Cardone was either dead or broke. What truly removed Cardone from where he was, was because of a $1000 loan he took from his mother. With this money he purchased his first sales training VHS from a notable sales person of the 1980’s. After dedicating his life to those VHS in hopes for a better life, Cardone decided to master the art of selling and admitted to himself he was not the smartest guy around but he had more hustle than anyone else he knew. Therefore if he could become an expert on sales all he had to do was find something he can sell and that was his ticket out of middle class. After a couple years Cardone decided to become a car salesman, and now matter how bad they tried to fire him at his job they never truly did because his work ethic was unmatched. Although, Cardone was making 6 figures selling cars he didn’t like the title Car Salesman and felt it lesser than what he was capable of doing. Cardone finally quit his job as a Car Salesman and opened up his own realty business which is still in business today. He did this because he realized selling is selling if he could sell a car all he had to was become an expert on houses and he could sell houses to earn larger commissions than dealerships would offer him. Once Cardone made a name for himself in the real estate business, he got hungry for more. He took a look at him self and realized he was born with everything he needed to do anything he wanted. Considering he was a sales expert and went from broke to bank he developed a modern day sales training program and started a company called Cardone Training Technologies. At this business he sells his strategies in apps, software and books. As of now he has published 5 books, "If You’re Not First You’re Last" was well awarded with New York Times best seller, WSJ best seller, and made #1 on Amazon & Barnes and Nobles. His newer rendition of an older book he wrote now called ” Sell or Be Sold” won the Axiom Award in early 2012. Cardone has featured on Fox 5 news with Neil Caputo to talk about turning the American economy around and helping people find jobs and success in everyday life. He encourages people of all degree to learn how to sell, because if you can sell something you can make money and its the only recession proof job out there. Cardone's story is truly amazing and is what I aspire to be one day, with many flows of income into his wallet he is one multi-millionaire who went from rags to riches because of a $1000 loan from his mom.
