“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly already want to become. Everything else is secondary.” Steve Jobs had revolutionized not only the technology industry, Jobs set a stepping stone for future entrepreneurs. Throughout the commencement address, Jobs tells us stories that help us learn how we can reshape our lives. He provides us with ethos when he provides us with who he is and logos when he gives credible statistics. Pathos is shown through his three stories about life. He makes the audience feel independence and freedom when he explains a story about following your heart and believing in something. Steve Jobs gives off the impression that in life we have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. I also love his line towards the end of the speech, which is, “Stay hungry, stay foolish”.
Steve Jobs was the one of influential people and still affect all of the people nowadays despite of his death. When things were not going well, his telling argument persuaded many people and led the company to success. Born poor, Steve jobs did know the hardship of the underprivileged. During his undergraduate years, he underwent financial difficulty and mental distress. he dropped out of the college and had various experience. even if he was in plight, he did not succumb to it. And finally he overcame every difficulty and pulled off a great coup. As a student, I can learn the value of endeavor and realize how important it is to pursue my dream.
